If Taylor Swift is still hurting from recent split with Jake Gyllenhaal, you wouldn’t know it by the looks of her on the red carpet at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards. The Speak Now singer confidently strutted her newly single stuff in a dainty peach dress (clearly, “Pretty In Pink” is the theme of the evening). Is T-Swift’s knowing smile her way of telling us she won’t pretend to be surprised this time when she wins (again) tonight or is it because she still got to keep the ,000 guitar Jake  had gifted her?

After a whirlwind of a 2010 that saw her releasing epic Tarantino-inspired music videos, repurposing meat, and delivering the year’s best-selling album worldwide, one might expect Lady Gaga to begin 2011 by laying low and taking some time to reflect on her monstrous fame away from the spotlight. Yeah, right. Obviously, Gaga’s not going anywhere, as evidenced by a cryptic New Year’s tweet regarding her upcoming Born This Way: “THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11,” which came complete with the above photo (which we might find shocking if it was anyone but Lady Gaga). Is the accompanying photo suggesting Gaga was born tattooed, pants-less, and wearing a leather jacket? Frankly, we wouldn’t be surprised. Never mind that May 23 isn’t even a Tuesday — if Gaga wants to release an album on a Monday, who’s going to stop her? But we’re a little disappointed we won’t be hearing the full record until almost halfway through this year. Leave it to Gaga to continually leave us wanting more.

Never demure, Gaga’s been hyping Born This Way since the MTV Video Music Awards like she’s about unveil an entire new genre of music. Could the single possibly live up to this buzz? These lyrics sound a little Disney/after-school special, but Gaga’s strong suit has always been production and presentation, while her lyric-writing remains a lot like a high school cheerleader’s. (“Ra ra ah ah ah, ga ga ooh la la,” anyone?) Still, that doesn’t make us anticipate the single or the album any less – even if, at this point, we’ll be let down if Born This Way doesn’t immediately bring about world peace, provide a cure for cancer, and reveal the meaning of life upon its release.

Today, Lady Gaga was spotted at LAX sporting a metallic gold jacket, black fishnets and not much else—except for an outrageous new tattoo! The meat wearing singer sported a decent-sized unicorn on her upper left thigh which included the words “Born This Way”—which is both the title of her upcoming album and a phrase from her infamous 2010 VMA acceptance speech. Gaga dons the same lovely white and indigo wig from last night’s Video Music Awards, but she seems to have forgotten to put on pants and a top for her flight—thankfully, she did manage to remember to wear a belt. Accessories are so important.

It’s so clear now, Gaga must be suffering from a terrible case of Alexander McQueen Shoe Exhaustion. After trotting around in these lobster claw heels all night, it’s understandable that the pop star was too worn out to put on anything other than a bra and underwear.

Good Morning Milo is an alternative rock six-piece from San Diego, who may sound like other bands your hear on mainstream radio, but they’re indie, so they’re still way cool. I’ll be the first to confess that I am a fan of their Panic at the Disco-esque sound (you’ll hear it most on their song “Engaged”), even though I’m in no way a fan of Panic at the Disco mostly because their fans annoy me. If you feel the same, Good Morning Milo is the band for you!

Their latest album, Through the Chaos and Clatter, has a great mix of diverse tunes. Not diverse in the way that they don’t know what kind of music they want to make, but diverse in the way that they want to give each song its own identity. Keeping everything tied together are the similar song formulas and signature vocals, (which we’ll get to in a second).They even include a couple of nifty instrumental tracks, “Pickup Lines” and “The Proposal.”

Usually, I would say opening an album with an instrumental track is indulgent for most bands, but for Good Morning Milo, it’s a slick move, especially since they keep it under a minute and a half and dive headfirst into the next song on the album “Win Her” that has no intro whatsoever.

One of my favorite things about Good Morning Milo is Weston Gardner’s vocals. He keeps in non-whiney and involved, crystal clear for lyrics sake, and impresses with a tasteful falsetto. The rest of the band members also pull their equal share of the weight, even Ren, the girl in the group. Not that she wouldn’t, I’m just saying, it’s nice to see a girl in the band that isn’t the singer.

Anyway, where was I, yes, there’s a beautiful piano intro on “Feel The Crash” and is a welcome change from the other guitar-driven tracks. Bass and drums keep everything dynamic and interesting. The guitar parts are varied and appropriate. There’s nothing I hate more than a guitarist that wants to steal the show with some crazy ass guitar part that is too elaborate, thankfully, Peter Begle isn’t one of them. Oh, and kudos to whoever is participating in all those harmonies, I love ‘em.

All of the songs on the album are of the same caliber with their being no clear hit, but no filler tracks either. Like I said, if you’re a fan of their style of music, you’ll appreciate it for what it is, textbook alternative rock, done well with a few bonuses.

We knew from the moment we saw those whipped-cream-spewing bra cups that Katy Perry had plans to crank up the cheeky humor on this album, and now it’s clear. No one else but our favorite popsicle melter would demand to see “what you’re hiding underneath” quite the way she does in her just unveiled (and likely next-to-be-chart topping) single, “Peacock.” Katy debuted the infectious pop jam this weekend at MTVs World Stage Show 2010 and got the crowd in a tizzy.

Rocking a skintight (but, uh, supportive), white sequined jumpsuit and tutu, Katy gave the blue wig a rest and whipped her ponytail around while frenetically bounding across the stage (ok, she kinda seemed like a tipsy college girl doing karaoke, but it was super-cute). Sure, “Peacock”’s lyrics sound like something in Ke$ha’s high school diary, but it feels like Perry is in on the joke — c’mon, let’s not forget those evil gummy bears!

Following the cute but tame “Teenage Dream”, the Stargate-produced “Peacock” is the perfect third single — especially since we’ve been patiently waiting for a sexual innuendo pop-gasm of this magnitude since Brit Brit’s “If You Seek Amy.”

We’re totally feeling the “I Kissed a Girl” pop heaven vibes all over this one, and let’s face it — any 25 year old pop star who can get away with demanding today’s youth to show her their peacocks AND break records at the same time is pretty damn impressive. We’re sending cotton-candy flavored kudos your way Katy!

Katy Perry has unveiled the sweet album cover for her upcoming release, “Teenage Dream.”

Revealed on Wednesday, the cover is a portrait of the singing bombshell in the buff, lying on a cloud of what appears to be pink cotton candy.

Pink is recovering after sustaining an injury during her show that required a hospital visit, in Nurnberg, Germany, on Thursday night.

The pop star, who was on her Funhouse tour in Europe — a trek that includes seeing the singer in a host of acrobatic acts — had an accident and was forced to end her show early.

It may be too early to determine if public favor is swinging back into Chris Brown’s court following his Michael Jackson tribute at the BET Awards on Sunday evening, but the Fan Of A Fan singer/rapper seems to have at least found support in the form of MJ’s brother, Jermaine Jackson. “To see [Chris'] performance, it was very emotional for me, because it was an acceptance from his fans from what has happened to him and also paying tribute to my brother,” told Extra. “It was just a spectacular moment.” Catch the rest of Jackson’s interview below.

In a poll we posted on Monday, we asked Idolator readers what they thought of Breezy’s performance at the awards gig—particularly when he broke down in tears while attempting to sing “Man In The Mirror.” Fifty-nine percent felt that he just needed a chance for the public to be reminded he’s a human being with real feelings, while 41% just weren’t buying Brown’s crying game.

Meanwhile, Jermaine continued to weigh on the “Forever” singer’s first major public performance since pleading guilty to felony assault charges involving Rihanna last summer.

“How can he learn from his mistakes if you don’t give him a chance? He needs that,” the 55-year-old performer said. “I love Rihanna, and I’m not supporting what he did, but I support him [as a singer] 100 percent… I’m just very emotional just knowing what has happened. Chris Brown is a human being, and we all make mistakes. We can’t condemn him for what has happened. We hope he has learned from it.”
