David Tennant lands respected US host slot

David Tennant, the outgoing tenth Doctor Who, has landed a highly respected hosting role on US television. The Scot star will be hosting Masterpiece Contemporary, the acclaimed anthology series, this autumn for the WGBH station who produce the show.

David is carrying on a fine tradition of celebrities to have hosted the show, including fellow Scot Alan Cumming.

The Masterpiece Contemporary series comes back to screens in the autumn with an episode entitled ‘Endgame’, which will be the first one that David hosts.
That episode is to star William Hurt and Johnny Lee Miller in a dramatic story based on the last days of apartheid.

Here’s hoping Mr tennant keeps some free time spare for the rumoured multi-Doctor story for series 5 of Doctor Who!
