Demi Moore saves a life through Twitter?

April 6, 2009 by Clark

According to news reports, actress Demi Moore may have saved a woman’s life through her Twitter page. The iconic Hollywood star has one of the most popular pages on the Twitter microblogging site, and is known on there for being very friendly, very straightforward and surprisingly down to Earth. Now, it seems she may have saved the life of a suicidal woman.

A Twitter thread involving Demi and a Californian woman who was having suicidal thoughts was called through as a tip-off for police, who made contact with the 48 year old woman after she had sent Demi notes of a suicidal nature. The lady has been transferred to a hospital for evaluation.

This goes to show what an impact Twitter is having on the world- it really is changing the way that information gets about, and in the case of that poor woman, this is a very good thing indeed. We wish her well.
