Ricky Martin Comes Out As Gay

Ricky Martin, the star behind legendary latin pop nuggets ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ and ‘She Bangs’ has come out as gay, ending a great deal of speculation. Ricky came out while preparing to write his memoirs.
The singer states that he is a ‘fortunate homosexual man’ and that ‘I am very blessed to be who I am’. More power to you, Ricky.
It takes guts to be able to admit something so important to the world, and while gay celebrities are nothing out of the ordinary in this day and age, it is a lovely thing to see Ricky Martin come out for his own peace of mind.

For once, here is an admission of orientation that doesn’t smack of a sensationalist way of grabbing a few headlines. Ricky is happy with who he is and it is completely understandable that he would want the issue clearing up. Good on you, sir.
