Blink 182 reform!

February 10, 2009 by Clark

Punk rock party animals turned sensitive artistes Blink 182 have announced their reformation. The news was floated at the Grammy awards, where the band walked out onstage together and presented Coldplay (aaaagh) with the best Rock Album award. Coldplay? Rock? Anyway…

Drummer Travis Smith came onstage with his left arm in a sling, following on from injuries sustained in his crash. The band looked a little awkward, but they seemed to be happy with the reaction their news got.

No tour dates or album plans have been revealed yet, but we can tell you that ne siongs have been demoed already. with a view to heading into the studio in the next month or so. Hopefully, the reformed Blink 182 will make it ontpo some of the big summer festivals this year, if not a full-scale tour.

What can we expect from this new era for the band? I’d imagine the new music will be a mixture of their oldschool pop punk and their latterday, more mature approach.
