It has been confirmed by star Jason Lee that the popular TV series ‘May name is Earl’ has been cancelled after a run of four years.

Lee, also known for his ‘Would you like a chocolate covered pretzel?’ line from Mallrats and ‘You’re mother’s a tracer!’ from Chasing Amy, amongst many other screen roles, revealed the news yesterday via his Twitter page.

Produced by Fox and originally broadcast on NBC, the My Name Is Earl sitcom followed the misadventures of a man who is trying to atone for all of his life’s bad deeds when he hears someone talking about karma on TV while semiconscious in hospital. Funny, touching and very well made, it will be sorely missed by fans the world over.

Seriously??? This is exactly why I am going to stop watching network television altogether! It is no longer one individual network that pulls these kinds of blunders. It’s all of them. This is terrible. Why would you cancel this show. Has it been struggling in the ratings? And, I’m sorry, I like Amy Poehler, but parks and recreation is horrible. Listen up NBC. People are paying attention. Keep pushing the reality tv crap. More and more people will start tuning out. Ridiculous. I am turning my tv off now.
